Where can you find no contract Black Friday deals? One carrier that offers the best deals in 2011 is MetroPCS. With coverage all over the metropolitan areas, increasing popularity of Android smartphones, growing number of subscribers, Metro PCS offers some of the best contract-free phones. Metro PCS Black Friday has text messaging phones as cheap as just over $30. Perhaps the best perk is that you are not tied to a long term contract. Don’t feel like using the same phone after a month or two? Change to a new phone. Even the highest-end smartphone like LG Esteem only costs $249, that’s the normal price other carriers charge for signing up a 2-year contract.
What if you really want a super advanced smartphone that’s not available on MetroPCS? iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II 4G are 2 of the most popular holiday items that you should buy this year. The contract-free prices for these phones are over $600. Not really shocking consider the quality and power these gadgets have these days. My personal favorite is iPhone 4S – everything seems so perfect: faster processor, excellent new camera capable of recording 1080p videos, and most importantly it’s got Siri, the new personal assistant that you can bring anytime and anywhere. In fact I use Siri to set up appointment and reminders everyday. It’s just so easy to use. This year’s Sprint Black Friday deals include more advanced smartphones than ever. And they are available on the truly unlimited data plans. Pick both and see which one is better.

If you have choose one phone from T-Mobile today regardless the price point, what would it be? I would certainly pick the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G. First it’s the latest Android phone with the largest and the highest resolution screen. Forget about myTouch 4G or other smartphones, because TMobile Black Friday 2011 will save you more money no matter which phone you buy. Of course the phone great for you not necessarily is good enough for me. Not too long ago I was considering HTC HD7, a Windows 7 phone. After doing some research I found there are not that many apps available. The app market is much smaller than Android Market and Blackberry App World. Price wise it’s not the most expensive smartphone at all. The interface is surprisingly easy to use. However, if you are used to IOS you might find the screen a little overcrowded with all the social networking updates.
Another great TMobile Black Friday deal is the Sidekick 4G Slide. This one is going to be hot among teenagers. The Sidekick 4G has been totally redesigned from ground up and now looks and feels much better than the original Sidekick. For those who don’t know Sidekick – it’s one of the first premium text messaging and versatile smartphone exclusively offered on TMobile’s network. It’s was the most popular texting phone among young people. I personally owned the original Sidekick before switching to Android. My 2 choices are Galaxy S II 4G and the new myTouch Black (much cheaper). Will let you know early next week about my final decision.

In case you missed this – Verizon Wireless is offering you twice as much data for the same monthly price. Seriously they can pull this one anytime they want but I believe Verizon will at least let run through the holiday shopping season to give you more reason to buy a new phone. The normal data package you get is 2GB for $30 and now that will become 4G that’s a significant upgrade! That means more streaming movies on the go. This really kicks off Black Friday Verizon sale that is supposed to start next week. One catch is that this promo is only valid on 4G LTE phones. So does it mean you should upgrade? Definitely. I just don’t understand why some people are willing to pay the same monthly fee for a 3G phone while the 4G data plan cost the same. One particular phone you should be getting is the new Droid RAZR. It’s absolutely the thinnest 4G smartphone in the market today. Slimmer and lighter than the iPhone 4S. With screen that big and weighing so little you can totally give up you laptop all together. It’s selling for $299.99 and you be able to knock off $50 to $100 with exclusive Verizon Cyber Monday deals available at the end of November.

Have you been waiting to get a brand new phone this year? Your best bet to save big will be Verizon Wireless Black Friday 2011 sale. Tons of great deals as always. But this year you should pay more attention to 4G LTE phones simply because they are some of the most powerful smartphones in the market today and they are likely to receive more temporarily markdown than other phones. One phone I will recommend is the LG Revolution 4G. The regular price is $200 and you should be able to get it below $100 during Thanksgiving weekend. Don’t be surprised to get it even cheaper at some online authorized retailers. Another great buy will be Motorola DROID BIONIC 4G, which features Dual-core 1GHz Processor, 1 Gigabyte of DDR2 Ram, 4.3″ qHD Display, HDMI/Mirror Mode, and 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. Current price at retail stores is $249.99 with a 2-year contract. Expect to pay no more than $200 later this month. Although it’s not a 4G smartphone, the Motorola DROID X2 will be an excellent choice for the holiday. Whether you are giving it as gift or upgrading your current phone this will be a real bargain (price cannot be revealed at this point). We will keep you updated once we are allowed to post it here.

Folks, the one time most popular Motorola RAZR is back. Wait? Another Moto flip phone? No way. It’s not a flip phone or full-featured phone. It’s called DROID RAZR – the thinnest smartphone in the world. Measured only 7.1 mm, this is the skinniest Android phone in the market today. Powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor, the new Moto RAZR has an 8 megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expendable to 32 GB with a external microSD card. What’s interesting about this new Moto RAZR is the SmartAction software that helps manage your phone’s battery life. You change settings to shut off Bluetooth when you return home or slow down the processor speed while you are on the phone. The iPhone has iCloud so does the Moto DROID RAZR. Motorola introduced something called MotoCast – a personal cloud feature/app that lets you stream or download your music, pictures and more from your PC to your phone. The world’s thinnest smartphone is available for preorder on October 27th begin to ship in early November for $299.99 with a 2-year Verizon Wireless contract. So get your credit card ready. Don’t forget to pair it up with lapdocks, wireless keyboard, HD docks and Bluetooth headsets.

By now you probably have read many reviews on iPhone 4S. The fact that iPhone 4S features an 8 megapixel camera make you wonder why do I need to carry another camera with? Should you replace my point-and-shoot digital camera with the new iPhone 4S so I can put one less item in my pocket or purse? I already gave up my camera since the iPhone 4 came with. Even with 5 megapixels, the iPhone 4 still take great pictures and 720p HD videos. Playback on iPad, Mac, or PC is just super clear. The only problem I had is when you actually print them out. Some pictures taken at night appear to be grainy. I don’t really know how many of you are planning to print them out and hang them on the wall. I usually show my friends pictures on iPad or simply share them to Facebook. With new 8 megapixel camera on iPhone 4S – the shutter is going to be much faster. The phone itself is much thinner than any point-and-shoot camera. The only drawback for some people is that there is no optical zoom, which I could care less. One big advantage of the iPhone 4S over regular digital camera is that it has a large screen and can record 1080p HD videos and edit them right on the spot. If I were you I will not only replace my digital camera but also get rid of the camcorder all together. Trust me, you will find yourself taking more photos and videos with the new phone. Yup, that’s a pretty good reason to upgrade to iPhone 4S, right?

If you want the fastest Android smartphone what would it be? The new Samsung Galaxy S II 4G is the only smartphone you need. And it’s on sale now from T-Mobile for $229.99. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with 1.5GHz dual CPUs and Android 2.3.5, the Galaxy S II is the most advanced smartphone from TMobile. With average download speeds approaching 8 Mbps and peak speeds of over 22 Mbps on T-Mobile’s 4G network you will find this little device a faster web browser than you home internet service. Besides being a super speedy smartphone you will also love the 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. It’s the largest smartphone display in the market today – great for watching movies and TV shows on the go. Catch high quality HD pictures and videos with 8 megapixel camera and share with friends instantly. Or better yet, chat with friends face-to-face with the 2 megapixel front-facing camera. You simply will not get the same experience on any other Android smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S II is on sale now for $229 with a new 2-year agreement. Sure you can get something like HTC Sensation 4G for $30 or even more with Exhibit 4G. But I can you that the Galaxy S II is worth every penny you pay for.

Do you know that your new Sprint or Verizon iPhone 4S are already unlocked for GSM network? That means you can simply purchase a local sim card when travel oversea and save hundreds of dollars on the roaming fees. Sprint will sell iPhone 4S with micro-SIM slot unlocked. However, for Verizon Wireless customers you will have to wait 60 days to request “International unlock” provided that your account is good standing.
AT&T customers, sorry, your brand new iPhone 4S is not unlocked – you are still forced to pay AT&T’s roaming charges. So rather than paying for international roaming Sprint and Verizon iPhone 4S customers traveling internationally can take advantage of the new unlocked feature and get dramatically cheaper rate with a pre-paid micro-SIM card for data and voice calling. Apple store sells unlocked iPhone 4 for $649 while Verizon Wireless and Sprint offer iPhone 4S 16GB at $199. So price is huge advantage too. The only downside is that you will be using a local number instead of the one in the U.S. Make sure to let your family and friends know about the new number.

There are more cool Android phones coming to 2011 holiday season. AT&T already has 5 new Android phones lined up to be released as early this month. One of the high-end smartphone many of us have been waiting for is the Atrix 2. The original Motorola Atrix is currently one of top sellers. Combined powerful 1 GHz dual core processor and 4G speeds, the new AT&T Atrix 2 is not your ordinary smartphone – record 1080p HD videos and display them on any HD monitor with an HDMI cable. Talk about versatility, you can even use the optional HD Station and browse the web on any size HD Monitor.
Samsung Captivate Glide is another one coming to stores soon. This decently speed Android smartphone has 4 inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3, a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU. And it’s capable of running on 21Mbps HSPA+. Available for $99 without rebate on October 16. This might the best and cheapest smartphone with full QWERTY keyboard for this holiday shopping season.
Other interesting devices include Samsung DoubleTime – a clamshell QWERTY device with two capacitive touch screens; Pantech Pocket, which offers a candybar Android 2.3 experience with a unique aspect ratio; AT&T Avail – only available through pre-paid plans. This device features a 3.5-inch touch screen, 5- megapixel camera and runs on Android 2.3 OS. AT&T Avail provides an affordable option for customers seeking the Android smartphone experience while still maintaining control of their usage and monthly bill.

Despite some glitches AT&T Sold 200,000 iPhone 4S in the first 12 hours of preordering. While many Apple fans are still complaining about the lack of design change/improvement on the new iPhone 4S people are still flooding to Apple online store or carriers’ sites to scoop up the latest offering from Apple. The last year’s recording of 600,000 iPhone 4 was certainly set to broken. Carriers have sold out the iPhone 4S online at this point. But you can still find all models available at Apple store online. The estimated ship time now has been extended to 1 to 2 weeks. Same thing happened to iPad 2 preorder. If you are a few hours late to the preorder you might have to wait a week or 2 longer. Next time just be prepared – set your alarm at 12:01am Pacific Time! I wonder how many of you would be willing to preorder before they even had revealed the product. I know I would.
