It’s time to upgrade to Blackberry Torch. The new Blackberry Torch 9810 for AT&T will go on sale on August 21st for just $49.99 with a new contract. If you are a fan of touchscreen Blackberry smartphone, this new slide-out keyboard is something you can’t miss. The first generation of Torch 9800 was big hit and it was running out of stock for a short period of time after initial release. So what have improved on the newer model? First the processor power is twice as fast. Second, it’s using the new Blackberry OS 7. Third, the new 3.2 inch touchscreen with 480 x 640 pixel resolution are 4 times sharper than the original Torch. Although the new web browser still doesn’t support Adobe Flash, it’s 40% faster than before and supports HTML5 without a problem. Overall user experience such text messaging, emails, app loading, and streaming movies are very much improved. Where can you buy this device? You will find Blackberry Torch 9810 for sale at local AT&T stores. However, we strongly recommending getting it from an authorized online deal if you would like to like to have it free out of pocket

It’s been a while since Blackberry introduced a new device. Verizon Wireless has the new Blackberry Bold 9930 for sale today. You can get this Blackberry 7 powered smartphone for $249.99 with a 2-year contract. The price is quite high but in line with other high-end Android smartphones. The only thing that I wish the Blackberry 9930 had is 4G LTE. For those of you who work in a camera free working environment – a non-camera model is also available for the same price. So what’s so cool about this Verizon Bold 9930 smartphone? It’s the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet, measuring only 10.5 mm. It’s also the first BlackBerry Bold to integrate a touch display with a full QWERTY keyboard. The most impressive feature is the new BackBerry browser – the experience now is much improved. You can zoom and pan for smoother Web navigation and HTML5 performance has been optimized. The 2.8-inch touchscreen display (640 x 480) is pretty much standard now on all the Bold series. In case you don’t know the Bold 9930 is a Quad band global phones – you can use it in over 200 countries in the world. Interested? Look for your Blackberry Bold 9930 for sale from Verizon Wireless stores near you.

The Blackberry Playbook was announced at the end of July 2010 and now the Wi-Fi version became available this spring at Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, OfficeMax, and RadioShack. It’s been a long wait and still there are no signs of a 4G Blackberry Playbook. Sprint is supposed to release the WiMax version this spring. However, according to a leaked memo, Sprint has indefinitely delayed its plans to sell a 4G version of the tablet. I would say 4G is the only advantage that Blackberry Playbook has over iPad 2. Although you can use a Blackberry phone as a modem to connect a Wi-Fi Playbook when you travel, we yet have to see the first 4G Blackberry smartphone to come out this year. If they can make a 4G tablet, I am sure a 4G Blackberry is in the works. One good reason that people would buy the first Blackberry tablet on a wireless network is the cheaper monthly price than having to use a smartphone as modem. With the reported delay by Sprint the Wi-Fi version is your only choice now.

It’s official! We will see BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 on sale this summer. This is another great product since the release of Blackberry Torch last year. The Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 supports HSPA+ connectivity while Bold 9930 supports CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and HSPA+ global roaming on GSM/UMTS networks. We are very excited about the slimdown size of the Bold series. At 10.mm, it’s the thinnest Blackberry yet. We also like the stainless steel circumference and a fiberglass back – it looks and feels more prestigious than any other Blackberry phones. What we are really excited about is NFC (Near Field Communications) feature that’s widely expected to be on every new smartphone in the future. Exactly what you can do with NFC? Tap your Blackberry Bold 9900 near a Smart Poster at a bus stop and it will bring the web page right on the smartphone. Other features include a 1.2 GHz CPU, 768 MB of RAM, a GPU, 8GB of internal storage. The Blackberry Bold 9900 9930 for sale price will likely to stick below $200 with the ususal 2-year contract. And don’t forget Sprint Blackberry plans are the cheapest among all carriers.

AT&T has been an exclusive seller of the new Blackberry Torch for a while, will Verizon get Blackberry Torch eventually? Based on the past relationship, Verizon Wireless always gets some variant of the same Blackberry model for sale in less than 6 months. The Blackberry Pearl was one example, although they carrier a slightly different model number. Given the time frame, is Verizon getting Blackberry Torch in a couple of month. We strongly believe so. Like the Curve and Bold, which were initially released on AT&T, will come to Verizon Wireless with just a different badge and some customized software. One thing we are pretty certain is that they will come with the new Blackberry OS 6. Meanwhile, if you really want to upgrade to Blackberry Torch, do it now. Because the OS 6 is just so much better.

So many people put smartphones on their wish list in holiday 2010. I would like to give my wife a brand new Blackberry this year. So, what’s the best Blackberry phone for gift in 2010? Well, there are a couple new releases in recent months. Blackberry Torch is exclusively available through AT&T while Blackberry Style is offered only through Sprint. Both models run the latest Blackberry OS 6. I always wanted a phone with touchscreen and full QWERTY keyboard for myself. Now that I can give it away as gift – that’s even merrier. Since I am not a big fan of flip style smartphone, the AT&T Torch is a logical choice. And it’s much better phone in my opinion. Most of the time, you don’t need to use the physical keyboard unless you want to type a long emails. The touchscreen is very responsive, much better than Blackberry Storm 2. Blackberry Torch is the best Blackberry phone in 2010. No question about that.

the Blackberry Storm 2, a solid mobile email work horse you can take anywhere you go. The screen on Storm2 is not as sensative as I like it to be. Besides, you don’t really touch the screen to enter command. The entire screen works as a big button. You have to touch and press at the same time in order for the phone to take action. How much it costs? $0.00 to $50 from authorized online retailers. Not a bad deal at all. But with the same money you can also get a brand new Android phone. Although iPhone still commands the largest smartphone share in the U.S., Android has been on fire since the the introduction of Android 2.2. Blackberry Storm 2 is still stuck with version 5 and the newly released 6.0 is just not a real competitor to iPhone or Android. So, if you have the money, go with Android!

Thinking of getting a Blackberry Playbook for yourself? Not a bad idea. But consider there are so many tablet choices already in the market today and will be in the market in the coming months. The specs are pretty impressive. With HDMI output to 1080p video, front and back camera, full Flash support (something that iPad doesn’t and will not have). But who exactly the Blackberry Playbook is for? Business users? Consumers?

RIM describes the Playbook as a perfect device for either large organizations or an “army of one”. Features that everyone would like is full web browsing, true multitasking and high performance multimedia. Corporate users would love the advanced security features and out-of-the-box enterprise support and a breakthrough development platform for IT departments and developers.

I would think that existing Blackberry users will be the first ones to adapt to this new Blackberry Playbook. The rest of us – you might be better off exploring the new Samsung Tab and the next generation of iPad has to offer!

Here comes a pair of new Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 for Verizon Wireless. We don’t understand why they are called 3G since all current Verizon Blackberry phones are running on EVDO network. Looking at the specs, it’s not much more impressive than the current BlackBerry Curve 8530. Perhaps the one of the most important part is the price – $0.00 after instant rebates from online authorized dealers (compared to $30 after mail-in rebate in store), making it one of the most affordable Blackberry phones out there. Although the Blackberry Curve 3G smartphone comes with Blackberry OS 5 you will be able to upgrade to 6 right away when the new OS is released later this year. Hey, it’s not a bad deal at all.

Do you currently have an old Blackberry Curve and wonder if you should upgrade to Blackberry Torch and take advantages of all the new features offered by BB OS 6? Or should I wait for the new OS to become available on future Curve? Well, the only touchscreen Blackberry available now from AT&T is the Torch. And it has physical keyboard too. I personally think it’s much better phone the Storm 2. The AT&T Blackberry data plan is not expensive at all. The official contract price is $199.99 at retail stores, but you can find better deals online like $99.99 after instant rebates for new customers. Account upgrade might cost a bit more but still worth it. Get it while you can. Good luck.
