Do Sprint Plans Save More Money Than Verizon

I have seen Sprint’s commercials numerous times on tv promoting that a typical Sprint cell phone plan can save you $240 a month over a similar one from verizon wireless. Is that true? Is it just a one time incentive to lure me to sign up a new plan with Sprint?

Well it depends on the plan of you are going to select. If you are only caring about voice and no text messaging and no data involved, they pretty much cost the same. The prices vary by the amount of minute allowence each month. However, if you do want texting and web services, Sprint does offer you something better than its competitors.

For example, adding unlimited text messages and unlimited web access to an individual Sprinb plan will only cost $ 69 a month. That also includes 450 minutes each month and Sprint mobile tv (other carriers charge extra for mobile tv regardless of your data plan).

What does a similar Verizon Wireless plan cost? $39 voice plus $20 text message plus $30 web – that’s a $89 a month, $20 more than that of Sprint. Multiply that by 12 months, that’s $240. Not to mention that watching tv on veriozn will cost another $15 more.

Now you get the idea. Of course there are other reasons that people sign up with different carriers. Shop around and compare before you buy.
