AT&T has effectively removed the unlimited data plans from their new phone activations. Does Verizon have unlimited data plans? If so, will they follow suit and change to tiered data plans like AT&T did? Verizon Wireless currently offers $30 unlimited data plan on smartphone and full-featured phones (actually it’s required). With that you get unlimited web and email on your mobile devices. It is a great deal if you tend to browse web and stream music and videos a lot. A 20 minutes of standard YouTube video can take as much as 200MB of data. So, any limited data plan might not be a good idea for those who worry about exceeding the monthly limited. Luckily, Verizon Wireless have unlimited data plans (still). This can change as more people switch to smartphones. So, if you don’t have Verizon unlimited data plan now and are planning on using more emails and online videos, get the unlimited plan today. It’s very likely Verizon will grandfather the plan for all existing customers when changes are made in the future.
