Well, many of you might have been using the Blackberry Curve for a while now and wanted to upgrade to the new Blackberry Tour. Or you have been very jealous of AT&T’s Blackberry Bold users and just want to get even. Either case, is it worth to upgrade to Blackberry Tour 9630? If all you do is emails and texting. I would say stay with the Curve and wait for a better one.
The big difference between the Tour and curve is the screen. The Tour has superior 480×360 pixel screen that’s not easily found in today’s smartphones, which makes watching videos and viewing pictures are more pleasant experience. And full QWERTY keyboard has relatively larger keys than the Curve, and for those have big thumbs, that’s really good news. Although I actually prefer more spaces between keys, the keys are very responsive when try typing fast. The new 3.2 digital camera is also a major improvement that let you take sharper pictures and high quality videos.
For only $199 you can upgrade to Blackberry Tour with a new service plan or contract extension. Not bad for such a high-end smartphone. If you have the budget and prefer a sharper screen and better camera, it’s totally worth the upgrade.
