Verizon Wireless Offers Free Laptops

Verizon Wireless is offering free laptops with a new $60 wireless broadband plan. Well it’s not a full-fledged laptop you expect to replace your regular PC or laptop at home. What Verizon will offer is a small and light weight laptop called netbook. These netbooks run on either Linux or Windows xp. The one Veriozn is giving away for free is the new HP mini, which features a 1.3 ghz Intel Atom processor and runs on Windows XP.

Why do Verizon want to give you a free laptop? Well, same reason they are offering free cell phones. They want you to use their wireless service for a fee. In fact, you will need to sign up for a 2 year data plan in order to get the free laptop. Depends on what you use the netbook for, this can be a great deal if you are always on the go and you smartphone can’t handle certain tasks you normally can accomplish on a laptop such as fast and full Internet browsing and editing word and powerpoint presentation.

So is free Veriozn laptop a good deal. Yes. What good is netbook if you can’t access Internet wherever and whenever you want?
